In recent days, work has begun to double Highway 60 - the main transportation artery of the settlement in Binyamin, after a decade of strenuous work on various levels to advance the project, which will be well felt throughout Binyamin and for the benefit of those living there.
The Binyamin Regional Council's announcement reads: "After a decade of hard work on all fronts, at a good and exciting time, work has begun in recent days to double Highway 60 - the settlement's main transportation artery. This project is getting underway after long planning, pooling of resources, and a huge government budget.".
Council Chairman Israel Gantz: "As I have pledged all along - we are investing a lot in this and indeed the road revolution in Binyamin is in full swing. We are continuing step by step to upgrade and strategically expand the roads. For 30 years, the roads in Judea and Samaria have been frozen - now a revolution is coming whose implementation takes time and requires patience, but today it is happening on the ground, and we are still working on planning and pooling budgets for the continuation of the projects.".
Gantz added: "Thank you to Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the darling of the settlement, who as Minister of Transportation in the past and as Minister of Finance in the present was a significant and central engine for this revolution. Thank you to Minister Miri Regev, without whose partnership and encouragement as Minister of Transportation this would not have happened. Binyamin is a pioneer.".
