The police released footage this evening (Wednesday) of the killing of Muhammad Zakharena, the third terrorist from the Islamic Jihad squad that carried out the shooting attack in the Pondok and murdered 3 Jewish Jews.
In the footage from the drone cameras and the helmets of the IDF fighters, one can see the moments when the terrorists open fire on the forces - who in response return heavy fire, including the firing of shoulder-fired missiles, eliminating the terrorists.
Zakharna was killed alongside another terrorist who was hiding with him in a cave. The second terrorist killed was Mirouh Hazmiya, an Islamic Jihad operative from Qabatia, who was released from his last detention as part of the hostage-taking deal in November 2023, and was now wanted for his involvement in planning terrorist activity.
Weapons, weapon parts, a ceramic vest, cartridges, and ammunition were found on their bodies.
Additionally, during the operation, additional terrorists who served as the two's aides were arrested, guns were found on them, and they were transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
