Following the summons of Nir Davori, the military commentator for News 12, to give open testimony to the police in the 'Kettergate' affair, Channel 14 presenter Yinon Magal published a satirical response on his Twitter account today (Thursday) - in which he wrote: "Publication: Contacts with Nir Davori to become a state witness.".
Devori did not remain indifferent and furious: "Unfortunately, there are still a few people left in Israel who take you seriously. Therefore, I suggest you delete it - or you will receive another defamation lawsuit. And you will not be able to say you did not know.".
Later, Magal posted in response to a tweet he posted: "To those who pretend they didn't understand: This is a joke (like you).".
After a few hours, Devori did send Magal a warning letter before filing a lawsuit - with two demands: the deletion of the tweet and immediate compensation of 60,000 shekels.
Dvori was seen leaving the offices of Lahav Unit 433 at noon, where he gave testimony as part of the investigation.
Israel Hayom's political correspondent, Shirit Avitan Cohen, and Kan News' political correspondent Suleiman Masvade were also summoned to give open testimony.
