The family of Captain Israel Yudkin, a Netzah Yehuda officer from Kfar Chabad, claim that although 10 months have passed since his death at the hands of a sniper in the northern Gaza Strip, they have not yet received the communication recordings from his final moments, including after his injury; his weapon; and an investigation into the incident.

The Defense Ministry stated that the issue is the responsibility of the IDF.

IDF spokesman's response: "The request is acknowledged and is being processed.".

Family members on the IDF spokesman's response: "We've been hearing this since the 'Seventh Anniversary'.".

Yisrael Yudkin, Y.D., fell in April of last year in the fierce battles in Gaza. He is one of 8 brothers, four of whom serve or have served in the IDF in various capacities.

After his death, a public outcry erupted when his family demanded that the words "God will raise his blood" be written on the tombstone - but the Ministry of Defense did not approve.

After a public campaign led by his brother, Major Dovi Yudkin, the Defense Ministry relented - and for the first time, the option to write "Yad" on the tombstones in military cemeteries was approved.
