Journalist Guy Meroz was a guest on the "Patriots" program this evening (Saturday night) and expressed a strong opinion on the issue of the hostages and the political-security situation in Israel.

At the beginning of the interview, he stated that the only thing that concerns him is the kidnapped people, and called for increasing public pressure for their return.

About the right-wing camp, he said: "You have the power, slowly the media too. You won.".

According to him, "My camp is doing almost nothing. They take to the streets and it's not serious. 2 million people need to come out, we need to shut down the country, darken everything, not to bring down Netanyahu, but to understand that the kidnapped must be returned here, otherwise we have no right to exist here as Israelis.".

Meroz clarified that in his opinion, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not directly to blame for the events of October 7: "I don't think Netanyahu is guilty of October 7, okay? He is responsible by virtue of his position, but he is not guilty.".

He directed most of his criticism at "ten to fifteen terrible, arrogant and arrogant guys" in the army and the Shin Bet, who he claimed were responsible for the disaster that caused the deaths of thousands on both sides, including "masses of children.".

He claimed that the investigations reveal "mistake after mistake" that stemmed from arrogance, and called for those responsible to be brought to justice: "They should sit in prison for the rest of their lives." He said that Netanyahu's sole accusation is inaccurate, since "he brought us there, but he didn't do October 7th.".

Meroz later claimed: "We need to deal with the only option - to stop the war, return the hostages, and then for my part, destroy all of Gaza. I don't know how to tell you this, but we lost this war.".

In response, Yinon Magal told him: "I don't know how to tell you this, but you are wrong. And we will win a complete victory.".

Meroz addressed the right-wing camp directly and said: "The power is with you, the government is with you, the media is slowly with you. After half an hour of looking at you from the sidelines, calm down because it won't last forever. I can tell you as someone who has been in many places – at some point it turns around.".
