Gili Leibushor, mother of the observer Yael Leibushor, who was killed at the Nahal Oz outpost on October 7, said today (Sunday) on the "Seder Yom" program on Channel 2 that Hamas built a detailed intelligence file on the Nahal Oz outpost - a file whose contents were collected through observations, drones, and monitoring of social networks, over a period of nine years.
Leibshor said that Hamas's intelligence file was revealed to the parents of the female observers, as part of the presentation of the full military investigation into the abandonment of the Nahal Oz outpost.
""The first shocking finding is that there is a table that ranks all the bases in the Gaza Division - and then you get a weighted score of the importance of the camp and why to attack it," said Gili. "The two bases in first place are Yiftah and Nahal Oz. Hamas knew how thick the concrete was to come with the necessary devices and the necessary explosives.".
Leibshor added that the terrorist organization's intelligence was comprehensive to the point of knowing the amount of weapons that were in the base and what type. "The most important thing - they taught us so well that they said the following: 'If we managed to get there in 15 minutes, then we dismantled them.' 6:29 started, 6:45 they are at the wall.".
Leibshor shared that on the day she was presented with the investigation, she went to the Nahal Oz base to the spot where her daughter was found: "I went to Nahal Oz to ask her for forgiveness because it was such a shock and we really allowed her to be in that place. I lit candles for everyone and asked everyone for forgiveness.".
