Retired police chief Aryeh Amit has no restraint on his tongue. In a normal country, he would have been in an interrogation room for serious incitement - he calls Netanyahu Haman, he calls the Haredim savages, he wishes Ben Gvir dead - and recently his foul language has also implicated Yoni Netanyahu.
This week he appeared on "Meeting of Edges," Neve Dromi's program on i24NEWS, in an attempt to understand where this burning hatred comes from, and addressed allegations of selective enforcement between right-wing and left-wing protesters, between Kaplan protesters and ultra-Orthodox protesters.
""Why are ultra-Orthodox and right-wing protesters allowed to use a certain amount of force on them, but not on the Kaplanists?" asked Dromi.
Amit replied: "You can't compare chaplains, who are wonderful people who are all now in the army, and Haredim, savages, who say: We won't enlist.".
He added: "The police supposedly have to treat everyone the same, but that's not true. The police don't handle a demonstration by Israeli Arabs the same way they handle a demonstration by Jews, farmers, who come to the neighborhood and throw eggs on the road.".
Later in the interview, Amit was asked about his tweet stating that Netanyahu is like Haman. Amit did not back down from his words and clarified: "I do not hate people, but I detest Netanyahu's way.".
