Investigators at the Rehovot police station opened an investigation following a report of a woman living in Kiryat Ekron who breaks into houses, steals property from them - and sometimes threatens the homeowners who surprised her.

Thus, the defendant, a 41-year-old resident of Kiryat Ekron, stole a large amount of property that was there and belonged to the owner of the unit from the housing unit in which she lived.

Later, she broke into a "club for the elderly" in the community in order to connect to electricity from within the club. On another occasion, she stole a bicycle worth 2,500 shekels from a house she broke into in the community.

The indictment filed against her states that two months ago, the defendant arrived at the military cemetery in Rehovot, approached the grave of an IDF officer who fell in the 'Iron Swords' war - and stole a bench and a lantern that the bereaved father had placed there.

Following an investigation conducted by investigators from the Rehovot police station, the police officers arrested the defendant and her detention was extended in accordance with the needs of the investigation.

Yesterday, the Central District Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against her for the charges attributed to her.
