The appointment of retired judge, Attorney Nechama Monitz, as chair of the search committee for the Corporation's board has been completed, after the nominations committee approved her candidacy.
In the coming weeks, the chairman of the search committee will work to appoint two members of the search committee - and together with them, she will bring the appointment of the chairman of the corporation's council and the seven additional members of the corporation's council to the Minister of Communications for approval.
Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Kari: "I welcome the approval of the appointment of retired District Court Judge Nechama Monitz to the position of Chair of the Search Committee for the Corporation's Council. For too long, the Corporation operated without proper oversight, which harmed its ability to reflect the diversity of opinions in Israeli society.
