
Shooting incident near Ariel: An 18-year-old Israeli man was moderately injured this evening (Wednesday) in a shooting attack while driving on the road near the Shuval farm, near the Ariel West industrial zone.
About ten bullets hit a moving vehicle.
The injured man was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in moderate condition, conscious, with a penetrating wound to his hand.
In his initial testimony, the injured man stated that the terrorist blinded him with a laser aimed at his eyes, and then shot him.
Security forces began a pursuit of the terrorist, carrying out blockades in the area and also operating in the airspace.
An IDF spokesman said: "An Israeli citizen arrived at the industrial zone in Ariel with a gunshot wound. The citizen was moderately injured and is receiving medical treatment. Security forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist and are carrying out blockades in the area.".
Senior MDA paramedic Gennady Dubinsky said: "We treated an 18-year-old young man, fully conscious, suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. We were told that he was injured while driving a vehicle near the farm. We provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital, where he is in moderate and stable condition.".
Akiva HaCohen, a paramedic and driver of the United Hatzalah ambulance, who provided first aid to the injured man: "We were informed at the scene that the young man, about 18 years old, was wounded in the limbs by gunfire. We provided him with medical assistance at the scene and then he was taken to the Beilinson Medical Center, where at this stage his condition is described as moderate.".
