The family of the kidnapped Avinatan Or received his first 'sign of life' through the abductees who returned to Israel as part of the final phase of the hostage deal with Hamas.
The sign of life was received from testimonies of hostages held in the central camp area in the Gaza Strip.
Or, 32, was kidnapped to Gaza from the Nuba party in Ra'im.
He is the partner of Noa Argamani, who was rescued from Hamas captivity in Gaza after about eight months in 'Operation Arnon'.
Moshe Or, brother of Avinan Or, said after receiving the life certificate: "We are happy, the last life certificate we received was the kidnapping video. The certificate came from the intelligence. It is exciting, but we do not forget that we are fighting to receive Avinan himself - and not just a life certificate.".
Moshe added that, according to the information that reached the family, Avinan is being held captive in inhumane conditions.
Dudu Shimon said today in the Channel 7 studio: "I am concerned about the very negotiations with Hamas that empower them and kill our hostages. It is a slow killing because we are pinning our hopes on negotiations. As far as I am concerned, the only way that can release the hostages is for Hamas to lose more than they gain if they hold the hostages.".
""Now the opposite process is taking place. Today they are adopting the method of accepting a few hostages, knowing that the rest - living and dead - will be left behind.".
