Deputy Minister Uri Maklev signed the 'Urdu Authority's' broad support for Bnei Brak

Deputy Minister Uri Maklev arrived in Bnei Brak last night, where he signed a special activity budget for the Haredi public in the city of Torah and Hasidism.

Within this framework, the local authority will operate a series of special and dedicated activities for the Haredi public in a manner that is appropriate and accessible to the public. Also present at the signing ceremony, which took place in the office of Mayor Hanoch Seibert, were Deputy Mayor Menachem Shapira, Deputy Mayor Gudi Silman, Roy Assaf, head of the Haredi Authority, Shlomo Pollak, CEO of the General Society, Shlomo Benziman, Director of the Community and Society Division, and more.

As part of the new collaboration, the Bnei Brak municipality will receive broad government support from the 'Urdu Authority', which will enable the implementation of innovative programs in a variety of areas such as education, employment and welfare, while emphasizing the accessibility of services to the Haredi public.

This is an unprecedented budget that will allow for a significant strengthening of the municipal response to the unique needs of the Haredi public in Bnei Brak. The collaboration is intended to lead to comprehensive socio-economic development, and is a key step in strengthening and empowering the city's residents.

Deputy Minister Uri Maklev said: "It is a great privilege to take a central role in strengthening services for the residents of Bnei Brak. The mayor said at the meeting: "The residents of Bnei Brak thank Deputy Minister Rabbi Maklev for a budget that will transform and expand services for the Haredi public in the city. We see that the public's best interests are before his eyes, and for the first time we are receiving a designated budget for the Haredi public - something that has never happened before, and we appreciate your gratitude for that.".

The new budget is expected to have an immediate impact on the quality of life of tens of thousands of families in Bnei Brak. The special investment will allow the municipality to expand municipal services, improve public infrastructure, and offer innovative solutions in the areas of education, employment, and welfare. All while maintaining the city's unique character and fully adapting to the Haredi lifestyle.

The mayor and deputy minister wished to thank the chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafni, who worked tirelessly to advance the budgets of the 'Urdu Authority' and contributed greatly to the success of the historic move.

During the visit, Mayor Seibert presented to the Deputy Minister the transportation solutions that the municipality is currently promoting, with the aim of significantly improving the quality of life of the city's residents and alleviating existing transportation problems. During the meeting, the two discussed steps being taken to increase public transportation options, reduce traffic congestion, create dedicated travel lanes, and use advanced technologies to improve traffic flow.

""These are out-of-the-box transportation solutions, designed to make residents' lives easier, improve accessibility, and streamline mobility in the city," Maklev told the mayor.

Transportation manager at the Office of the City Manager, Mandy Rodich, added that the city is working in collaboration with professional bodies, the Ministry of Transportation and the Office of the General Manager, transportation engineers and government ministries in order to implement the plans as quickly as possible.

He also noted that there is a full commitment from all parties involved to ensure that the projects will improve the travel experience in the city and increase the use of public transportation.
