US President Donald Trump shared on his official social media profile - TRUTH - the news of the announcement by the head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, that the council and the Peduel settlement committee have decided to change the name of the iconic observation point "The Balcony of the State" at the "Gutnik Center" being built in the Peduel settlement in Samaria, and from now on it will be called: "The Donald Trump National Observatory.".

President Trump tweeted the remarks in the midst of the marathon of political meetings between the head of the Samaria Council and senior officials in the new administration, members of the Senate and Congress, as well as senior evangelical leaders.

Dagan embarked on a marathon of meetings in Washington with the aim of promoting understanding among the Trump administration and elected officials in Congress and the Senate about the importance of applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
A notable meeting took place between Yossi Dagan and Masad Bolos, his Lebanese father-in-law and close confidant of President Trump. The two were scheduled for a long meeting at Bolos' private home in Washington. The meeting was not made public, but the two released a joint video after it ended.
In the video, published on the Facebook page of the head of the Samaria Council, Masad Bolos said to Yossi Dagan: "It is a great pleasure and honor to meet you, the head of the Samaria Council, and to convey through you my appreciation from my heart to the people of Samaria. To my brothers and sisters in Israel and Lebanon, we expect peace and long for peace, and with God's help, we hope it will be soon. I appreciate it very much.".
Yossi Dagan told Masad Bolus: "I believe and also know that the Creator sent us to work together for the future of the Middle East and the world. Especially after October 7th - we are together and will work together. I would like to send many thanks to President Trump, for everything you are doing together. For the policy he is leading for the security of the State of Israel and the United States and for the restoration of justice in the world. Dagan presented Bolos with the official medal of Samaria as well as the "Trump Victory" wine from Kabir Elon Moreh Winery, a special series launched in honor of Trump's inauguration.
Days before President Trump's inauguration, Yossi Dagan, together with Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, launched the official lobby for Judea and Samaria in the US Congress, with over 20 members of Congress in Washington, for the first time in the history of Capitol Hill, with the aim of promoting sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
The first action of the lobby for the settlement is the bill submitted by the lobby's chairwoman, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, which stipulates that official United States documents will not use the phrase "West Bank" - but rather the name "Judea and Samaria.".
The lobby's first significant achievement was recorded when House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, who met with Samaria Council Head Yossi Dagan on the issue, officially ordered the committee to cease using the term "West Bank" in official documents, and from now on use only the Hebrew name for the region, "Judea and Samaria.".
