Towards a decision? The Al-Akhbar newspaper reported today (Friday) that Hamas fears Israeli action against the terrorist organization and has even begun to exercise increased caution for fear of renewed assassinations.
According to the report, sources in Gaza told the newspaper that Hamas' military wing instructed the terrorists to take the necessary security precautions, stop using wireless communications, and deal with Israeli threats seriously.
The same sources estimated: "If the efforts of the mediators and the understandings with the Americans fail to reach a solution that will extend the state of calm and stop the war, the enemy army will resort to carrying out high-quality assassinations against important figures, and special commando operations in populated areas.".
Yesterday, the terrorist organization's spokesman, Abu Obeida, threatened that Hamas had raised the alert level and was ready for war against Israel.
Abu Ubayda emphasized that the terrorist organization is not afraid of war: "We are in a state of heightened alert, ready for all possibilities.".
He added and threatened that if Israel goes to war again, this could lead to harming the hostages - with the aim of exerting psychological terror on the Israeli street, partly due to his fear of renewed fighting.
