The head of the Haredi division in the IDF's human resources department, Lt. Col. Avigdor Dickstein, presented today (Thursday), in a discussion held in the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the embarrassing data on Haredi recruitment.
Dickstein, a Chabad follower, revealed that of the 10,000 orders sent to the Haredim between July 2024 and March 2025, only 177 actually enlisted.
He added that 1,066 arrest warrants were issued, 2,231 "12-orders" were sent to those who did not report, which after about a month become arrest warrants. In addition, 265 were declared evaders.
It should be noted that by this July, the IDF is expected to issue 14,000 additional recruitment orders to Haredim.

Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister, Gali Baharav Mayara, made it clear yesterday to Defense Minister Yisrael Katz that the presented recruitment targets are not being met. She called on the government to act "urgently" to enforce recruitment obligations against draft evaders.
