He made it clear that Israel would receive all the backing from him to attack Hamas: "I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job. No Hamas member will be safe if you do not meet my demand.".
The president referred to his meeting with a delegation of eight captive survivors at the White House - writing: "I just met with the released hostages whose lives you ruined" - and issued a threat to the Hamas leadership: "This is your final warning! To your leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have the opportunity.".
To the residents of Gaza, he wrote: "A beautiful future awaits you, but not if you hold hostages. If you continue to hold hostages, you will die! Make a wise decision. Release the hostages now, or there will be hell later!"
