In the morning, a series of Bat Mitzvah events kicked off for dozens of orphaned girls from all over the country - as part of the annual celebration of 'Kollel Chabad'.
The ceremony was held today - 22 Shevat, the day of the celebration of the righteous Rebbetzin Mrs. Chaya Mushka, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
The elaborate celebration concludes an intensive activity in which the bar mitzvah girls have participated in recent months, during which the bar mitzvah brides enjoyed an experiential activity rich in content.
The special day began early in the morning and will conclude in the afternoon. It will be a day filled with a lot of excitement, content, joy, and emotion. Joy breaks through barriers.
At ten o'clock in the morning, the girls arrived in Jerusalem. Each girl had her photo taken in a studio, and it felt like it was a personal joy for each girl. Later, each of them will receive a personal album with her photos from this unforgettable day.
The girls will then travel to the Gutnik Halls in Jerusalem, the center of joy for the Chabad Kollel, where a lavish bat mitzvah celebration will take place, hosted by Michal Levitin and attended by media personality Sivan Rahav Meir, with luxurious food dishes, alongside a rich and elaborate dessert bar.
During the event, brides and their families will enjoy rich and varied content.
The mitzvah girls will receive thoughtful gifts throughout the day: an elegant crystal candlestick, a set of valuable jewelry, along with a leather-bound book of Psalms with the name of each mitzvah girl on it.
Behind the annual celebration is the continuous and intensive activity of the 'Chesed Menachem Mendel' Foundation, the educational division of 'Kollel Chabad', which invests huge sums in educational activities, scholarships and individual assistance for orphaned students throughout the year.
""The unique event for the girls mitzvah allows us to give them our full attention on this very exciting and joyful day," says Chabad Kollel Director, Rabbi Shalom Duchman.
