The Military Prosecution filed serious indictments today (Monday) against Ezz El-Din Malouh and his three accomplices, for carrying out the deadly shooting attack at the Al-Khader Junction near the 'Tunnel Checkpoint', in which the 12-year-old boy Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia Simcha was murdered.

As the indictment states, during December 2024, the four planned to carry out a shooting attack with the aim of causing the deaths of Jews.

On December 11, 2024, in accordance with the plan, Ezz al-Din arrived at the Al-Khader intersection - where he identified an Israeli bus, line 291 of the Kavim bus company, traveling from the ultra-Orthodox city of Beitar Illit to Jerusalem, and opened fire on it with a massive fire of 23 bullets.

As a result of the shooting, Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia Simcha was pronounced dead. Another woman, a resident of Jerusalem, was moderately injured in the attack. Two others were slightly injured. The driver, who was also injured, continued his journey to the tunnel checkpoint, where the injured were treated by rescue forces and evacuated to hospitals.

The terrorist, a resident of Beit Awa near Hebron, surrendered himself to security forces after initially attempting to surrender himself to Palestinian police stations in the area where the attack was carried out, but they confiscated his weapon and refused to let him into the police stations.

Upon filing the indictments, the military prosecution petitioned for the arrest of the defendants, and the military court decided to grant the request and order their arrest until the end of the legal proceedings in their case.

Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia Simcha was on his way with his family from the 'Sheva Brachot' event for his sister Esther Deitza, who had been married a week earlier in Bnei Brak. He is the son of the Gaon Rabbi David Zusha Simcha - head of the all-Chasidic yeshiva in Beitar Illit, and one of the prominent members of the 'Peni Menachem' community headed by the head of the yeshiva from Gur, Rabbi Shaul Alter. His mother Rachel is the daughter of Rabbi Baruch Rosemary from the United States.

The family, who live in Jerusalem, celebrated the last "seven blessings" for their daughter who got married, and on the way back to Jerusalem, they encountered the murderous attack that claimed the boy's life.

""The Military Prosecution shares in the grief of the Simcha family, will continue to support the family and the other victims, and grant them all the rights they are entitled to by law," the IDF spokesman said in a statement.
