Hamas military wing spokesman Abu Obeida confirmed this evening (Thursday) for the first time that Muhammad Daf was killed in an Israeli attack about six months ago.
Abu Obeidah also officially announced the deaths of Marwan Issa, Hamas' deputy chief of staff - Daf's deputy, Razi Abu Tamaa, commander of the weapons and combat assistance sector, Raed Thabet, head of the personnel department, and Rafe Salameh, commander of the Khan Yunis brigade.
Last August, the IDF and Shin Bet confirmed that intelligence information had been received confirming that the most prolific murderer, Rabbi Def, commander of the military wing and number two in Hamas, was eliminated in an Israeli strike in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.
The assassination was carried out by Air Force aircraft that in mid-July targeted a compound where, according to precise intelligence from Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet, Daf and Rafe Salameh, commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade, who had been assassinated several weeks earlier, were hiding. Additional terrorists were also eliminated along with them.
