The symbol, associated with the struggle to return the hostages from Hamas captivity, was "painted" in the country's skies by one or more pilots and was visible from the north to the south. After an investigation, the IDF said that the hijackers' symbol gesture, which was seen in the sky across the country, was carried out by Air Force aircraft. According to the army sources, from the investigations we have conducted so far, it is likely that this was a routine Air Force activity, which led to the creation of trails in the country's skies and that there was no intention to paint the hijackers' symbol. The identity of the pilot is unknown, and it is still unclear whether he installed a special smoke system or whether these are contrails. Contrails are actually vapor that turns to ice in the sky, which is characteristic of jet aircraft flying. This evening, the IDF spokesman again referred to the hijackers' symbol that appeared in the skies of Israel this morning - and explained: "It was found that an Air Force reconnaissance plane was operating in the airspace as part of an operational mission to detect the drone launched from Yemen. Its flight path ("patrol") and weather conditions created the flight trails that were seen in the country's skies. "Due to the high flight altitude in variable condensation conditions and strong westerly winds at altitude, the unique trail was created. This is a routine flight path, and no deliberate action was taken for any other purpose.".
