A team of ministers discussing the report of the State Investigation Committee investigating the Mount Meron disaster made a decision today (Sunday) to approve the division of powers from the establishment of the government, according to which Minister Meir Porush is responsible for the Rashbi celebration in Meron again this year.
In accordance with the authority of the Ministry of Jerusalem and Jewish Tradition, the tender for the production of the festival was recently published, and the ministry reached a budgetary agreement with the Ministry of Finance regarding the budget for the festival and the infrastructure work, in accordance with the recommendations of the State Investigation Committee.
In recent months, the ministry's staff has held a series of meetings with the Israel Police, the Ministry of Transportation, and more. The ministry is also promoting a government law to regulate the legal infrastructure for holding the festival.
