Tonight in Kfar Chabad: Funeral of Chabad emissary to the Emirates, Rabbi Zvi Kogan

The funeral of the late Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a Chabad missionary in the Emirates who was kidnapped and murdered by an Uzbek terrorist cell, will be held this evening (Monday) in Kfar Chabad, in the plaza of House '770' - starting at 8:00 PM. Rabbis, family members and public figures will deliver short speeches at the funeral. The funeral procession will continue from Kfar Chabad to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, with a stop at the 'Shamgar' funeral home at 11:00 PM. Rabbi Kogan was murdered by men of evil while on his holy duty on a mission in Dubai. His activities touched and influenced tens of thousands of Jews, locals and tourists. Throughout his entire mission, Rabbi Kogan acted under the inspiration of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, with love for Israel, with a light in his eyes and endless giving. Chaim Weingarten, ZAKA's Deputy Director of Operations, told Kol Brama about the coffin being flown to Israel: An El Al plane took off after the plane waited for the body for about two hours. The plane will land tonight at 5:00 PM. "Until yesterday evening, there was no direction to release the body, but after the murderers were caught, the authorities in the United Arab Emirates agreed to release the body.
