Defense Minister Yoav Galant entered Rafah and the Philadelphia axis today (Wednesday) and toured the forces operating in the sector.
He observed the place where Yahya Sinwar was killed and conducted a situation assessment together with the commander of the Southern Command, Major General Yaron Finkelman, the commander of the Gaza Division, Brigadier General Barak Hiram, the commander of the Nahal Brigade, Lieutenant General Yair Zuckerman, and the commander of the Southern Brigade, Lieutenant General Gil Werner.
In a conversation with the fighters, he said: "Wherever Hamas tries to raise its head, it meets the IDF - in Rafah, in Khan Yunis, in Jabalia - wherever it raises its head, it is brought down. Your action created the conditions that ultimately led Sinwar to make a mistake.".
