More than 1,000 people participated in the Selichot performances held at the Municipal Cultural Center in Lod, with the great Hasidic singer Avraham Fried, who came from New York for a tour of performances in the Holy Land.

The event, whose tickets sold out in less than 100 minutes after they were released to the public, took place in accordance with the Home Front Command's instructions and with its approval.

The performance, organized by the Jewish Culture Department of the Lod Municipality at the initiative of Mayor Yair Revivo, was held for the fifth time in the city.

The musical production of the spectacular show was conducted by Yuval Stoppel, accompanied by a band of artists.

For about three hours and in two rounds of the hall, the audience enjoyed songs of joy and sadness, longing and soul in these challenging days for the people of Israel.

Towards the end of the performance - shortly before midnight, an elderly woman in the audience in a wheelchair decided to go home.

Fried stopped the performance and asked: Before you go, what song would you like me to dedicate to you?

She replied: "Yiddish, Mom.".

Fried did not disappoint and thrilled the audience.
