In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and IDF forces, the terrorists Muhammad Takatka and Muhammad Abu Hussin, residents of Khirbet Manshiya in the Bethlehem district, were arrested in recent weeks for questioning by the Shin Bet on suspicion of involvement in two attacks in which explosive devices were used that were aimed at Israeli buses in the area of ​​the settlement of Tekoa.

The Shin Bet investigation of the suspects revealed that the two carried out the IED attacks - on March 21, 2024 and August 25, 2024 - with the intention of harming Israeli civilians, against the backdrop of the war in the Gaza Strip.

The military prosecution filed indictments against the two defendants, accusing them of serious security offenses.

""The Shin Bet and the IDF will continue to act to thwart any terrorist activity against Israeli targets and will work to severely punish those involved in these types of terrorist acts," the statement said.
