About a month and a half ago, on 7/18/24, at 1:30 AM, the police received a report of an explosion heard from a business on Sheshet Hayamim Street in Bnei Brak. Police officers who immediately arrived at the scene noticed the storefront of an auto service center shattered - and damage was caused inside. Investigators from the Bnei Brak police station opened an investigation, alongside crime scene investigators and saboteurs who arrived at the scene and collected findings and evidence. The investigation revealed that a grenade had been thrown at the scene, causing the damage. As part of an undercover investigation, the investigators were able to trace the identity of the suspect, and on 8/28/24, detectives from the Bnei Brak police station led to the arrest of the suspect, 44 years old, a resident of Yad Rambam. Upon completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed yesterday and the prosecutor's office intends to file an indictment against the suspect. The suspect's arrest was extended until 9/12/24.
