IDF forces and fighters from the Shabak Masada unit, under the direction of the Shin Bet, began an operation last night (Thursday) to thwart terrorism in the Phara and Tubas areas, alongside another operation in the city of Jericho in the Bekaa and Valleys Brigade area.
As part of the forces' activity in the Tubas area, an aircraft attacked from the air an armed terrorist squad that threw explosives at the forces.
Among the terrorists eliminated in the attack in Tubas: Muhammad Zakaria Zubaidi, a major terrorist from the Jenin area who took part in a shooting attack in the Seam Area and in numerous terrorist operations against IDF forces in the Judea and Samaria area, son of Zakaria Zubaidi, responsible for the escape from Gilboa Prison in 2021 and former commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Jenin.

The attack eliminated a number of additional terrorists who were involved in terrorist acts and shooting attacks against security forces.
Fighters from the IPS's Masada unit killed a terrorist armed with an explosive device in an exchange of fire.
In addition, the forces uncovered roads where explosives were planted with the aim of harming our forces.
A total of seven terrorists were eliminated tonight.
