A 35-year-old protester vandalized a picture of Capt. (res.) Elhanan Clemson this evening (Tuesday), during a left-wing protest near Paris Square in Jerusalem.

A police officer from the Moriah Station in the Jerusalem District who noticed the shameful act of vandalism arrested the suspect - and he was taken for questioning at the police station.

The police said: "One of the protesters approached several posters bearing the pictures of IDF martyrs, and began vandalizing them, tearing up the picture of the late Captain (retd.) Elhanan Meir Clemson.".

""We emphasize that freedom of protest ends where criminal acts, violence of any kind, vandalism and disorder begin. This is a deliberate and callous act on the part of the suspect who was detained for questioning.".

Hero of Israel Elhanan Clemenzon, who worked for the Mossad, left his home when a surprise attack on Israel broke out on October 7th, and traveled independently with his brother and nephew Itiel to the Gaza encirclement to save the lives of the residents.

The three rescued about a hundred residents of Kibbutz Be'eri. During the rescue, Elhanan was hit by fire from one of the terrorists and killed.

For their work in stopping the massacre and rescuing the residents, the three team members were awarded the Israel Prize for Civilian Valor for 2014.

Yesterday, Almog Boker revealed on Channel 12 footage showing retired judge Sarah Habib, a former judge at the Beer Sheva Magistrate's Court, tearing down signs of fallen soldiers and hostages that were hung by the 'Heroism Forum'.

Booker wrote that the judge tore down the signs because "they were signs hung by the Gevura Forum, a forum of families who have lost their loved ones since the October coup and whose goal is to promote the continuation of the ground maneuver until complete victory. Or in other words, because they think differently.".

The retired judge refused to apologize and responded: "I did tear down the signs that were hanging there illegally anyway. The Tikva Forum prefers dead hostages in exchange for future real estate, and I choose life. Regarding the complaint, we'll meet in court.".
