Dramatic recording: The rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Maya, elder of the Council of Torah Sages of Sha'ban, expresses a position against interference in the elections for the position of chief rabbis.

The game that's making the summer crazy: Will you be able to answer the riddles correctly and quickly?

According to a report by Yaki Adamker, the Shas party planned to publish a letter of strong support for the candidacy of the Gaon Rabbi David Yosef, son of Maran Gra"a Yosef zt"l and brother of the Gra"a Yosef, but there are difficulties along the way.

Rabbi Maya is heard in the recording saying: "I am in principle opposed to the Council of Elders interfering in the elections. I sit on the sidelines and do not interfere. Why? Because they have never interfered. I have been on the Council for over twenty years, I have never seen the Council interfere.

""Rabbi Ovadia personally was interested in everything, but as a council they never intervened. Neither Chacham Shalom intervened, nor Chacham Shimon Adani intervened, nor Chacham Shabtai Aton.".

Shas sources claimed today that after members of the council signed a statement of support, Shas is expected to officially announce the Rabbi Yosef as a candidate for the position of Rishon LeZion.
