
More than a day after the massacre: The remains of Jifara Ibrahim, the 11-year-old boy who was murdered in the Majdal Shams massacre by a Hezbollah rocket, were identified this evening (Sunday) at the Abu Kabir Forensic Medicine Institute.
This brings the number of victims in the rocket strike on Majdal Shams to 12.
Ibrahim has been missing since the disaster, and all attempts to locate him have been in vain. Until this evening, the boy was still listed as missing, and tomorrow, members of the Israel Antiquities Authority were expected to participate in the search for him. However, at the same time, the remains of a body were found at the scene of the massacre, which were eventually linked to the boy.
According to News 12, the boy's family hoped until the last minutes that Jifara had panicked and fled the scene, and had since been found in some hiding place.
During the day, 11 of those murdered in the massacre carried out by Hezbollah in the Druze settlement in the northern Golan Heights were laid to rest.
The murdered are: Fajr Laith Abu Saleh (16), Amir Rabia Abu Saleh (16), Hazem Akram Abu Saleh (15), John Wadia Ibrahim (13), Izil Neshat Ayoub (12), Finis Adham Safadi (11), Yazan Naif Abu Saleh (12), Alma Ayman Fakhar Al-Din (11), Naji Taher Halabi (11) and Millar Madad Al-Shaar (10) and Nazem Fakhar Saeb (14).
All of the murdered were children and teenagers who were playing on the village soccer field as part of a local tournament.
