The Houthis released footage this afternoon (Tuesday) of the launch of the drone that exploded on Friday night at 3:00 AM on a building in the heart of Tel Aviv - causing the death of Yevgeny Freder.

This is a Simad 3 UAV that was upgraded by Iran.

Simad 3 is a suicide drone, which, according to media outlets in the Arab world, can fly a distance of between 1,500 and 1,700 kilometers. The drone has "advanced technology" that makes it difficult for interception systems to detect it.

An initial IDF investigation indicates that the UAV was detected by the Air Force for about 6 minutes, but it was decided not to intercept it because it was not classified as hostile. The IDF explained that due to human error, an alarm was not activated and the target was not intercepted - and that this was a "bad incident.".
