Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed in Washington on a 'Wing of Zion' plane last night (Monday), but his scheduled meeting with President Joe Biden will not take place on Tuesday.
Netanyahu's entourage is still waiting for an answer from the White House on when the meeting will take place.
Sources familiar with the details said that they have already begun examining another date for a meeting between the two during Netanyahu's visit to the United States.
President Biden has been in isolation with his family at his home in Delaware since testing positive for COVID-19. His doctors said today that he still has COVID-19 symptoms, but they have almost completely resolved.
The meeting is expected to take place in the shadow of President Biden's announcement that he is withdrawing from the race for US president, and has transferred his support to his vice president, Kamala Harris.
As it turns out, on Thursday Netanyahu will fly to Palm Beach, Florida, to meet with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate. However, this meeting is not yet finalized.
Netanyahu is also expected to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris, a meeting that took on great importance after it became known that the president had withdrawn from the presidential race.
