Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman and Naftali Bennett met this morning (Wednesday) in Tel Aviv and discussed the possibility of running together in the next Knesset elections.
Lieberman revealed the meeting's existence on Tuesday, at his faction's meeting in the Knesset, when he said that he was in talks to run together in the next elections with Bennett, and noted that he spoke with him on the phone late last week.
Before that, he estimated that the Knesset would be dissolved within a few months. "The prime minister intends to dissolve the Knesset himself in November. Until now, they have not started working on the state budget, which is supposed to be placed on the government's table in August," Lieberman said.
On the other hand, former Mossad head Yossi Cohen said in conversations with associates that he decided not to enter political life now because in the current situation there is no possibility of establishing a large right-wing party, as he tried to get Bennett, Lieberman and Saar into one room to talk - and failed.
In addition, Cohen estimates that Netanyahu is locking down the political system and is managing to maintain his coalition, which is why he does not see elections in the near future - and has decided to stop all political activity during this period, and continue with business.
