Charge against Beitar Illit resident: Committed serious acts on a minor in Ashdod

The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment today (Sunday) in the Beer Sheva District Court against Eliyahu Assulin, 38, from Betar Illit, after he committed serious crimes against a child over a period of several years.

The indictment filed by Attorney Rotem Hazan Grimberg, of the Southern District Attorney's Office, indicates that between the years 2013-2018, Assulin lived with his family in an apartment in Ashdod, where he met the victim, born in 2003, who lived in the city.

In April 2013, when the victim was 10 years old, Assulin lured him with candy to the apartment where he lived, where he attacked him and committed a particularly serious act.

In addition, on numerous occasions, Asulin picked up the minor in his vehicle and took him to isolated locations where he committed serious acts against him. Among other things, Asulin caused the victim to commit serious acts against him and committed particularly severe acts against him.

Assulin is accused of particularly serious acts in the indictment, and was dismissed during the investigation - after he asked the minor not to tell anyone about his actions.

At the same time, a request was filed against the defendant for detention until the end of the proceedings.
