Netanyahu in conversation with Biden: I will end the war only after achieving all its goals

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today (Thursday) with United States President Joe Biden - and congratulated him and the American people on the occasion of America's Independence Day.

Netanyahu told Biden that "without the United States, there is no true freedom in the world." The American president replied: "Without Israel, there is no security for Jews in the world.".

According to the Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu informed President Biden of his decision to send a delegation that will continue negotiations for the release of the hostages in exchange for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

He emphasized that he would end the war only after all the goals set were achieved, including the military and governmental eradication of Hamas and the return of all the hostages home.

Israel expressed optimism about reaching a deal after receiving Hamas' response.

A source involved in the negotiations said that the fundamental change is that the terrorist organization has given up its demand for guarantees to end the war, even before the humanitarian liberation begins.
