Nir, his son, said: "He was an exemplary father and grandfather. A righteous man who was murdered by terrorists. It is clear to us that this was an attack.".

According to him, "He loved traveling there, he knew the people there. Everyone loved him and he would help everyone. It's tragic that it ended like this. He didn't think this was what they would do to him there. He wouldn't hurt anyone, and he always helped those in need.".

Eti, Amnon's wife, added: "He was murdered only because he was Jewish. He was a pure soul. We raised five wonderful children.".

Mukhtar was killed in a shooting as he entered Qalqilya with his vehicle today. He was not shot, but was first taken to a Palestinian hospital for treatment, which then transferred him to Magen David Adom.

The security forces' assessment is that this was a terrorist attack.

IDF forces entered the Palestinian city and are hunting for the terrorists.

Kan News reported that an aide was arrested, suspected of providing information about Mukhtar to the terrorists. According to Palestinian networks, the aide is a released prisoner.

After the attack, local Palestinians set fire to the victim's vehicle.

Kan News quoted a source in the Palestinian security apparatus, who is involved in the investigation of the attack, as saying that goods that he bought in Qalqilya were found in the car of the murdered Israeli.
