The minister reacted sharply to the publication: "The exposure this morning in Yedioth Ahronoth of a Shin Bet official who revealed the injustice done to me, according to which the legal advisor to the government, Gali Baharav Miara, asked former Shin Bet head Ronen Bar to collect materials against me, and that pressure was applied to promote steps to remove me from my position - should concern every citizen in the State of Israel.".
This is nothing less than an earthquake: a legal advisor who was not content with providing legal advice, but allegedly acted through government and security bodies to thwart a minister in a government that was democratically elected by hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens.

I support the Shin Bet official who chose to reveal the truth and not cooperate with the cover-up. The public has the right to know whether the Shin Bet was recruited for a political struggle, who gave the instructions, who approved them, and who tried to hide them.
For years, they've talked about the rule of law, but more and more citizens understand how the system works: They want to overthrow you - they threaten you. Aren't you scared? They open an investigation. Didn't find anything? They invent something. Still not successful? They recruit security agencies to achieve the political goal.
Those who tried to use the power of the security and legal systems to overthrow an elected government must be held accountable. The Israeli public deserves the full truth, and that truth is starting to come to light.
