Ada Sagi, 75, a former peace activist, was kidnapped in the Gaza Strip and released from Hamas captivity after 53 days as part of a deal in November. In an interview she gave to the British BBC radio network today (Wednesday), she shared that although she was identified with the calls for peace, she does not believe that Hamas is interested in it - and that in her opinion the world today hates Jews. "I do not believe in peace, I understand that Hamas does not want it," she said in the interview. Regarding the possibility of a deal, she said: "Israel should make a deal, return all the abductees, alive and dead." Ada from Kibbutz Nir Oz spoke about her days of captivity and said that she was hidden in a house with children for the first day, but was later transferred to an apartment in southern Khan Yunis, claiming that "it was dangerous" in the previous place. She added that a family with children lived in the house where she spent most of her time, who later left the house so that they could keep her. The owner of the apartment told them that his wife and children had been sent to stay with his father-in-law. She also said that the landlord was a nurse by profession. She also spoke about the payment that students from Gaza received to look after them: "I heard them say 70 shekels a day, that's a lot of money in Gaza because they don't have work, if you have a job that's not through Hamas you won't earn more than 20 shekels." "On the 49th day," she said, "they told me I was going home. I didn't believe it. During lunch, they took me out in a car to the Rafah crossing - but then something went wrong and I was taken to Nasser Hospital, there were ten of us kidnapped there." According to her, the terrorists then told her and the other kidnapped people who were with her: "You're staying here." She added that about the Gazans: "People say they're not involved. They're involved and they get money for each of us." Regarding the world's attitude towards Israel and the kidnapped people, Sagi said that she believes that the world hates Jews. Finally, she shared that she plans to write a book that will recount her experiences and noted that she currently works with children and youth with ADHD. "It makes me happy to help others.".
