The elder member of the Shas Council of Torah Scholars, Rabbi Moshe Maya, spoke today (Tuesday) in his class about the recruitment of Haredi Jews, saying that the courage of the fighters to fight in Gaza is due to the merit of Torah scholars.
""If there is no Torah, there are no victories in battle," he said in a lesson quoted on Kol Berama radio.
The president of the 'Council' said: "I heard from one of the commanders, he says - the commanders in the field, everyone says I'm going in, everyone wants to go fight, where does this courage come from? Thanks to the Torah.".
Regarding the attacks against Torah students, he said: "Are they evading? Who is evading? The entire burden falls on the children of Torah.".
He conveyed a message to Torah students: "You shouldn't feel any fear. You should tweet at everyone and tell them, you exist because of Torah students. It won't happen - you won't be able to fight.".
