Attention public transportation passengers: Starting this coming Sunday and continuing through Wednesday, a Muslim holiday will be observed. As part of the holiday, many public transportation drivers will be absent from work, and reductions and changes in public transportation schedules are expected in various areas of the country.
The National Public Transportation Authority in the Ministry of Transportation has instructed public transportation companies, which operate urban and intercity bus lines in Israel, to contact, as much as possible, contracting companies to operate the service during the holiday - with the aim of reducing the harm to the public traveling on public transportation.
The Ministry of Transportation calls on the traveling public to stay informed of any changes at the *8787 information centers and on the websites of the various operators, and to prepare in advance for any changes in the frequency of bus lines.
The Ministry of Transportation says that it is possible to travel on Israel Railways, which will operate on the regular schedule.
