The American network CNN reported today (Friday) that Qatar threatened to expel senior Hamas officials from Doha if the terrorist organization does not accept the proposed deal.

An American source said that the Qatari threat came after long weeks and months in which the US demanded that Qatar expel the leaders of the terrorist organization - if there was no deal, and that the message has now been conveyed to Hamas.

It was also reported that the Biden administration pressured countries in the region to freeze Hamas bank accounts.

Earlier today, CNN reported that the Biden administration is pressuring Mediterranean countries close to Hamas to threaten it with a series of steps that will lead the terrorist organization's leadership to adopt the outline.

American officials said that in addition to the threat to freeze the bank accounts of Hamas members, their movement in the region will also be restricted.

Last night, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing two senior American diplomats, that Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, informed Egypt and Qatar that he would agree to accept the deal to release the hostages if Israel committed to a permanent ceasefire and that Hamas would not be required to lay down its weapons.

Last night, Channel 12 reported a clash between the Qatari prime minister, the Egyptian intelligence chief, and senior Hamas officials residing in Qatar. At a meeting held this week in Doha, Qatari officials frowned at Hamas's response. In a closed-door discussion, Qatari officials made it clear to Hamas officials: "We are disappointed with your conduct on the issue of the hostages. Israel lost patience and made a far-reaching proposal. The US has guaranteed this proposal, and this is the best you will receive.".
