The late Rabbi, who arrived for morning prayers at the 'Kollel Chazon Ish', collapsed, and the first worshippers to discover him at the entrance to the Beit Midrash called the rescue forces.
Unfortunately, they had no choice but to declare him dead.
The deceased, zt"l, was born on the 26th of Chesvan, 5756, to his father, Rabbi Yaakov, zt"l, and his mother, Mrs. Bella, may God have mercy on her. In his youth, he studied at the Slobodka Yeshiva in Bnei Brak.
Since his marriage to his wife, the educator Mrs. Bruria, former principal of a central school, and for more than a decade, he has been diligently studying Talmud at the Beit Avraham kollel.
He left behind a blessed generation of righteous people, sons and daughters, sons-in-law and descendants who continue his path.
One of his sons is Ephraim Ratzker, one of the editors of the Torah banner journal 'Yated Ne'eman'.
The funeral procession left this evening from his home at 43 Rabbi Akiva Street in Bnei Brak, to the Beit HaChaim in Elad - where he was buried.
