Sources in the Haredi parties accuse that Ministers Benny Gantz, Yoav Galant, and Gadi Eisenkot are not interested in reaching a compromise on the Haredi conscription law because their goal is to overthrow the government.

According to a report by Dikla Aharon Shafran today (Wednesday) on Channel 2, the sources said that if Gantz and Galant are indeed interested, as they say, in broad agreement regarding the conscription law, then it is impossible for them not to consider the needs of the Haredi sector when they come to enact a conscription law.

The same sources added that it is impossible for the chairman of the state camp to be willing to accept only one proposal for solving the conscription crisis - his own proposal. The sources further claimed that if, according to Minister Gantz, the law he submitted in the previous Knesset and approved on first reading is irrelevant, because changes occurred following the 'Iron Swords' war, additional changes also occurred among the Haredi public, which has come a long way and is ready to reconsider its positions.

The state camp said in response to the report on the network: "We have been holding talks with the Haredim for months with an open heart and a willing mind. After October 7, it is impossible to bring a law whose goal is exemption from service and not a solution to service. An Israeli service outline was and will be the best solution for Israel's security and for Israeli society.".

The government is expected to discuss this coming Sunday the appeal filed by Minister Hili Trooper regarding the draft law approved by the previous government. After that, the bill is expected to move to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for discussion, and then return to the Ministerial Committee for Legislation.
