
An IDF soldier who works as a truck driver had contact on the social network Facebook with an Iranian official who posed as a woman, Roy Sharon reported this evening (Wednesday) on 'Kan News'.
According to the report, at the "woman's" request, the soldier documented Iron Dome batteries - and sent the photos.
As a result, the soldier was put on trial and sentenced to 10 days in jail.
An IDF spokesman said in response: "As part of ongoing activities to monitor and thwart the deception of IDF service members on social media, an enemy infrastructure was exposed that operated with the aim of releasing information about IDF forces and activities.".
