A senior Hamas military intelligence official in the Shin Bet investigation says, "Military intelligence units operated from Shifa Hospital. The Interior Ministry, emergency committees, and Hamas' government also worked from there. It is a safe place," according to a joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet spokespersons.
The confession was made by the deputy head of the information department in Hamas's military intelligence, Ashraf Ibrahim Samour.
In the targeted operation by the IDF and Shin Bet, led by Division 162, at Shifa Hospital, many terrorists associated with terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip were arrested, including the deputy commander of the rocket unit in the Gaza Strip, those holding command positions in Hamas' military wing, and senior officials in the Ministry of Public Security and Hamas' emergency committees.
The detainees were transferred for interrogation to the Shin Bet and Unit 504 of the Military Intelligence Service.
Among those detained by the Shin Bet are many operatives from Hamas' military intelligence, whose interrogations provide valuable and important information for the continuation of the fight against the terrorist organization.
