The Yesh Atid faction opens its second party conference today (Thursday) - centered on the leadership primaries.
The polls are expected to open at 2:00 PM and close at 7:00 PM.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid and MK Ram Ben-Barak are running for party leadership.
Lapid wrote on his Twitter account: "Yesh Atid Conference Day! I appeal to Yesh Atidnikim: Every vote counts. I need your support.".
MK Ram Ben-Barak said in an interview with Galei Tzahal: "The contest is very difficult. I want to win and I'm doing everything to make it happen. In the end, we're talking about a party whose name is 'Yesh Atid, led by Yair Lapid,' this brand needs to be won. Yesh Atid needs to change.".
The primaries for the leadership of Yesh Atid are being held 12 years after the party was founded. Party sources say that although it is clear that Lapid will win, this is a process of "maturing" for Yesh Atid. "This time, maybe Lapid will win significantly, next time there will be more candidates.".
