According to a report by Itiel on the Walla website, Damari, divorced and a father of two, works in a pharmacy at Hillel Yaffe Hospital.
Hadera police arrested Damari about a week ago, after receiving a complaint against him.
The investigation revealed that he allegedly committed serious acts against the girl on several occasions in his home and in the synagogue, after offering her sweets.
The Hadera Magistrate's Court extended his detention three times.
On Tuesday, during the latest extension of the arrest, the police announced the end of the investigation and presented the court with a statement of claim from the Haifa District Attorney's Office, which intends to file an indictment against Damari on Thursday in the Haifa District Court for his crimes.
At the same time, the prosecution will request an extension of his detention until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
Attorney Gilad Menashe, who represents Shalom Damari with attorney Nadav Almog, told Walla: "The investigation materials have not yet been transferred to the defense for review. When the materials are transferred, we will respond in court.".
