The arrest was made during an operation by the Jerusalem District Municipal Policing Unit. A vehicle driven by a Modi'in Illit resident in her 20s aroused the police's suspicion - and as soon as they approached the vehicle, they noticed a strong odor emanating from it, which raised suspicions that it was the smell of drugs.
A pink cooler was placed on a baby car seat, on the passenger seat next to the driver.
Immediately upon opening the cooler, the officer noticed a large quantity of suspected cannabis divided into various bags, cigarettes containing suspected drugs, and other suspected substances in various configurations, weighing a total of over 800 grams.
Along with all of this, the police noticed a coin-snatching device placed between the car seats.
The arrested suspect was transferred for questioning at the Moriah police station, and this morning she was brought before the court for a hearing, at the end of which the court granted the police request and extended her detention for three additional days - until February 21, 2024, in order to continue the investigation.
