A joint run by Avigdor Lieberman and Moshe Kahlon would give them 23 seats, on a list that could be the largest in the Knesset - according to a 'Mind Pool' survey published on Orly and Guy's morning show on Channel 10.
According to the survey, in such a case, the Likud would win 19 seats and the Labor Party would strengthen and rise to 18, which could, in a certain scenario, lead to Lieberman and Kahlon forming the government.
Lieberman and Kahlon have good relations. In a holiday interview in Yedioth Ahronoth, the foreign minister complimented Kahlon by saying, "He has receipts for performance." However, it is not clear how Kahlon's social positions are supposed to reconcile with Lieberman's economic outlook.
According to the poll, Tzipi Livni's movement will disappear, as will Mofaz's Kadima party.
Yesh Atid crashes in the poll, as in previous polls, to 10 seats. The Jewish Home party also receives 10 seats in the poll. Meretz, according to the poll, is expected to receive eight seats, two more than in the current Knesset.
The survey also examined a scenario under which Likud andYisrael Beiteinu They will run together. In that case, the results will be very similar to those of the current Knesset: Likud-Beitu will maintain its strength with 30 seats, Labor will receive 16, Habayit Hayehudi 11, Shas nine and the Movement four seats.
Even in such a case, Yesh Atid would receive 10 seats, while Kahlon's party would receive 10 seats, most of them at the expense of Yair Lapid.
According to this scenario, Meretz receives eight seats.
By the way, the possibility of Yisrael Beiteinu and Likud running together is slim. The Likud center is not interested in that either, and Lieberman has already stated that he will not run with Likud.
