The fighters of the combat team of Unit 636 of the Border Protection Force, in cooperation with the Air Force and all maneuvering divisions and brigades, located during their operations in Khan Yunis approximately 200 tunnel shafts, destroyed over 130 terrorist infrastructures, bombed approximately 10 rocket launchers and eliminated numerous anti-tank squads and terrorists.
During their operations in the Khan Yunis area, the fighters identified a terrorist squad with 3 RPG missiles. The fighters directed the Air Force forces to eliminate them.
Commander of Unit 636, Lieutenant Colonel G.: "From the beginning of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip, the combat collection unit fighters have been bringing a significant and decisive intelligence picture from deep inside enemy territory. The unit's fighters who jumped on the first call took the initiative and strove for contact and did everything to contribute to and maintain the security of the State of Israel with determination, professionalism and exceptional dedication.".
